4th opening of fall fishery postponed

​Good afternoon everyone:

Can you please spread the word that for now the 4th opening that was to occur on Sunday Oct 28 Until Mon Nov 5 is postponed until exact landing numbers can be verified with DFO regarding how much fish the association still has in the water.

DFO cannot release any of the fish that was identified by me as not being caught by our association members without first doing their investigations regarding the same.

An example: in the DFO spreadsheet in Aug of 2018 when the association wasn't fishing, DFO has a landing of 6903lbs! by one fisher. They have no idea how this happened but there are approx 20 errors. Some of these are smaller than others but they all add up. Now that they are identified DFO said that they will work on it asap.

Given the circumstance the 4th opening will remain closed until numbers are for better words figured out on DFO end and agreed upon with the association.

I know there will be lots of questions and honestly I won't have a lot of answers until I hear back from DFO, I hope the explanation makes sense and feel free if you need me just call me.
