4VN SUMMER FISHERY UPDATE AUGUST 2016

Good Thursday morning everyone
 
Here is the latest update on the opening of the upcoming Summer halibut fisheries for 4VN.
 
Opening day will be Wednesday 1201am Sept 7, 2016, closing will be Friday Sept 16 2016 at 6pm
 
There will be no off loading on Saturdays or Sunday.
 
There are over 200 boats registered for this fisheries and with an approximate quoata of 88000lbs according to DFO Herb has set the trip limit as follows:

440lbs head on/whole or 350 lbs head off dressed.
 
If you have decided not to fish in the fall can you please let us know so we can adjust the quota for the fishers that are.
 
Also I am off to another province for a few days of R & R with my family August 25- 28 and unless you leave a message that it is a dire emergency to call you back you won’t hear from me until Monday August 29th.
 
Also I am building new website for the 4VN Management Board and a new facebook page many of you are on facebook and I can see that you have pictures of fishing, boats or scenery and I was wondering can I use them for the website.
 
If you don’t want me to use your pictures let me know here but otherwise I will assume its ok.
