Opening of 4VN 2018 Spring Fishery and Allowable Quota

The 4VN Spring Fishery will open Monday May 7/18 0001AM and close Sunday May 13/18 at 1159PM.

Total allowable catch per Licence for this fishery will be 700 pounds round or 556lbs heads off dressed.

Please continue to keep by-catch to a minimum.

Again we cannot emphasize enough to read and understand the changes that may be included in both your 2018 4VN contract and your 2018 DFO Licence Conditions.

I (Amy) have gotten clarification around reporting requirements for species at risk.

As an under 45 foot fleet because your logbooks currently have a box to check nil,  you do not have to fill out a species at risk logbook sheet every trip unless there is interaction.

So mark NO or in the event you do interact with species at risk indicate yes and fill out a species at risk logbook and hand the completed sheet in to the monitoring company when handing in log report.
